Šis daudzveidīgi pielietotais mikroautobuss tika montēts Rīgas autobusu fabrikā no 1958. līdz 1978. gadam, iekļaujot robustos GAZ-21 agregātus. Pirmais sērijas eksemplārs tika nodēvēts par “Festivālu”, sveicot tā laika starptautisko jauniešu un studentu salidojumu, bet vēlākie modeļi ripoja kā taksometri, ātrās palīdzības ekipāžas un pat pārvietojamās laboratorijas.
